Journal 6 by Hannah

The biggest takeaway from Esperanza is more in the perspective of a creative way of writing. I have never read a book like this before and I think it was a good eye opener to the different ways of writing. One thing I will not forget about this book is that it was more from her direct thoughts. I think that's why it didn't really make a lot of since at first, because our thoughts always jump all over the place.

The biggest takeaway that I got from Ismael is to never give up. I think Beah went through more experiences than most people we've ever heard of, so this book ended up being a huge inspiration. One thing I will never forget is how much he's changed throughout the entire book. He's changed as a person many different times in such a short period of time.

I really liked the documentary. I want to be a teacher after I graduate and it was a huge inspiration and it gave me a lot of motivation. I looked at the documentary as something that gave me many different ideas to put into my work as a teacher and how to really connect with the children. At one point in the video the teacher said, "Children are more likely to eat well if there's more things on the menu."

  3. It's great to know that someone plans on being an inspiration and a driving force to improve the next generation, keep your motivation.
